Lotte produces some of Japan’s favorite sweets and ice creams, and is an innovator in the field, producing new sweet treats like xylitol gum and drinkable ice cream. When several divisions of Lotte consolidated, they took the opportunity to digitally transform the business to make it more efficient and competitive. Lotte managed a seamless shift to a new VMware Cloud on AWS Virtual Desktop Infrastructure environment. The cloud implementation and hybrid virtual desktop environment improved the employee experience and empowered Lotte to pivot swiftly to telework during the pandemic. Lotte’s migration to the cloud has also allowed them to build an ICT infrastructure that can respond to business growth and new opportunities with flexibility.
